When upgrading your floors there are a few things you might encounter.

  • Base board that don't reach the new floor
*This happens when you take out a thicker floor type like certain tiles and carpets. This can be combated with relaying the baseboards or sometimes quarter round

  • Walls that aren't straight
*This means cutting your floors to also be cut to the same slant as your wall

  • Cracks in the foundation
*Depending on the size and depth you may not need to patch this

Otherwise, upgrading your floors can be a quick and sometimes cheap way to upgrade your space! Flooring prices will vary based off what you have currently and the labor to remove it, what you choose to put in - the floor type, the price per square foot of the material you want, and the labor to install.
